Andy served as a Police Officer in the UK for 31 years specialising in Road Policing and Road Death Investigation. 

He was also a technical advisor to the Association of Chief Police Officers in the UK and TISPOL on ITS matters.

A project partner in eMerge, GST Rescue, VERA 1, 2, 3, Electronic Vehicle Identification (EVI) and LIAISON and Project Manager for the REMOVE project.

On leaving the Police Service Andy worked as a project manager for Transport for London delivering the CVIS London test site and the UK Technology Strategy Board project FREEFLOW.

Andy then worked for ERTICO partner Technolution developing the UK market and acting as the Technolution project partner for eCoMove.

Andy joined the ERTICO team as the Project Co-ordinator of the HeERO projects. He is now managing HeERO 1 and HeERO 2 with 15 Pilot Sites, with another 7 associate pilot sites.

Derek is General Manager of the European audio/navigation product planning and telematics programme at Toyota’s European Headquarters in Brussels.

Having been with Toyota Europe in a variety of roles since the start-up of manufacturing in the UK, Derek joined the multimedia team for the launch of the original Toyota Touch system, and led the full cycle planning of the new Toyota Touch 2. Derek is also leading the eCall/ERA-Glonass and associated telematics services planning.

After gaining a Chemistry degree from Birmingham University, Derek spent the early years of his career in the brewing industry. He completed an MBA at Warwick University in 1989 and became the principal researcher in an automotive supply chain project.
In 1992 he joined Toyota, and set up the pricing and business planning functions for the TMUK factory. From the late 90s, his scope expanded to include the new factories in Turkey, France, Poland and Russia.

With the development of Toyota’s European manufacturing group Derek moved to Toyota’s Brussels Office in 2001, where he developed the manufacturing group planning and management processes. In 2008 he moved to Strategic Production Planning and this was followed by assignments in New Business Development, and most recently Product Planning & Marketing.

Dr. Prenninger is Head of Field Data Analytics at BMW Group and studied Industrial Electronics, completing his PhD in Mechatronics, Automation and Robotics in 1993. 

Since 2006 he has worked in the electric/electronics process chain of BMW in Munich focusing on data mining and predictive-analytics in vehicle diagnostics.

His current remit is to develop and intensify the usage of field data analytics to support all relevant business processes of BMW.

As senior manager, technical sales for Visteon Electronics, Manuel Pereira is responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities with European OEMs. In this role, Manuel oversees all technical sales activities in Europe for Visteon’s cockpit electronics business, ranging from advanced product and concept development to technical quote preparation.

Manuel joined Ford Motor Company in 1990 as part of the project team for the start-up of a new greenfield electronics plant in Palmela, Portugal. His was initially involved in the setup of the plant’s Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) infrastructure and has since then held different management positions in manufacturing, equipment engineering and product engineering. Manuel has held his current position since 2005.

Manuel graduated as an electronics Engineer, from Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisboa, Portugal. He commenced his career in a R&D Institute related to his University (INESC), working mainly with data communications and modeling solutions for data compression. He subsequently changed his business focus to automation (automatic lines and robotized cells) and UNIX based CAD/CAM systems.

Jeff Monroe is a veteran of the data centre industry and has developed some of the largest and most sophisticated data centres in the industry, with a total value exceeding $1.8 billion USD. He was a co-founder of the DuPont Fabros Technology wholesale data centre business and served as Managing Director, responsible for developing and implementing the wholesale operational model.

Mr Monroe was instrumental in all aspects of the business, including data centre strategy, acquisitions, design, construction, operations, leasing and business development. Prior to Dupont Fabros, he was Vice President of Real Estate, Design, Construction and Director of Operations for AboveNet Communications, responsible for the deployment of twenty-four class A domestic and international technical facilities and the operations that supported more than five hundred collocation customers.

Mr Monroe also managed the build-out of some of the largest technical projects in the U.S., including the National Archives' 1.7 million square foot storage facility, the headquarters of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), including the primary IRS data centre, and the primary data centres for America Online.

Olivier Lenz has joined the FIA Region I office in Brussels as Programmes Director. He is responsible for multi-stakeholder projects and co-operations with view to supporting and strengthening FIA Region I objectives and strategies. He is furthermore leading a Task Force aiming at defining the association’s policy approach in Europe in the areas of access to data, open platforms, connected travellers, and for consumer protection issues related to data sharing.

He previously worked at the FIA Mobility Division in Paris as Global Public Policy Manager. He was responsible for developing the organisation’s public policy presence at global level, while promoting and coordinating the work done by the FIA and its members at regional level. He also represented the FIA at the United Nations, in particular the Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), with focus on the regulatory work of the working parties addressing road safety and the environmental sustainability of motoring. He also administrated the Mobility Policy Commission.

Prior to that he worked on transport and mobility policy within the FIA European Bureau in Brussels as Director Mobility. In this he managed the various aspects of mobility policy, including road safety, environmental sustainability, the cost of motoring and transport policy. In cooperation and coordination with the member organisations he advocated for commonly agreed policies towards external stakeholders, in particular European institutions and private stakeholder interests.
