An advocate of 'Self Service' and also a leading UK expert in the methods of gaining and retaining visitors to a website, Jon finds himself in constant demand to speak at seminars on the subject. As one of the few people to recognise the requirement to meld traditional marketing techniques with the Web to produce cohesive 'joined up' marketing strategies, he has designed and implemented successful strategies for a large number of IS Solutions' customers including Toyota, Torfaen County Borough Council and Willis and as Project Marketing Director he is also responsible for ensuring the branding approach correctly reflects the customers' requirements.

GetMeThere.co.uk is a joint venture between Toyota GB Ltd. and IS Solutions Plc. IS Solutions have been primarily responsible for all of Toyota's web presence since their first site to launch the Avensis in 1997. Toyota originally launched GetMeThere.co.uk in October 2002 to complement their venture into On-Board Telematics. However nobody expected it to be as successful, with 23% of the visitors to Toyota.co.uk using the GetMeThere services. This resulted in additional pressure on servers, bandwidth, licences and budgets as all the traffic and routing services were free to view. IS Solutions offered to commercialise GetMeThere in 2004, to exploit the pay per use and subscription services, in order to mitigate the additional expenditure required to maintain this valuable service. Growth of visitors to GetMeThere.co.uk has the additional benefit of customer acquisition for Toyota.

WebTech Wireless

WebTech Wireless was founded in 1999 by two senior wireless pioneers with a simple vision; Location Services will become integral to our work lives on the road and drive the adoption of Fleet Telematics.

To address this Fleet Telematics vision, WebTech has developed and manufactured a Wireless Vehicle Services Solution that integrates GPS, wireless technologies and the Internet to seamlessly unify back office data and fleet operational data (location, performance, communications & activity). With WebTech's Wireless Fleet Services, any fleet manager can track and communicate with their fleet and receive localized services such as navigation and emergency alerts.

WebTech is powering real-time wireless data…where and when we need it…on the road.

WebTech is expanding globally with offices in North America, Europe and the Middle East and serves fleets in over 20 countries.
